Eliana Grasso, born in Turin, begins studying piano at four years old with Lorena Sancin. Extremely young, she wins several National and International competitions in Italy such as Stresa Premio Yamaha, J.S. Bach Prize, the International Clementi Competition and many others. She studies at the Academy “Incontri col Maestro" in Imola, attending the piano courses of Franco Scala and Piernarciso Masi. In 1994 she debuts as a soloist playing Haydn’s Concerto in D major for piano and orchestra with the Symphonic Orchestra of Mulhouse, obtaining a great success of audience and critics ("Eliana Grasso: encore petite et déjà si grande", l'Alsace, march 1994). In 1995, she wins the Third Prize at the International Competition for young pianists of St. Petersburg. In 2000, she obtains her piano diploma in the Conservatory of Turin, teacher Vera Drenkova, with full marks (10/10).
She continues her studies at the Academy of Imola with Riccardo Risaliti. She continues her musical studies in the Academy of Cremona, the Academy of Pinerolo and the Academy of Bergamo with Franco Scala, Emanuele Arciuli, Paul Badura-Skoda, Konstantin Bogino, Massimiliano Damerini, Andrea Lucchesini, Sijavuš Gadžijev, Franco Scala, Riccardo Risaliti, Jeffrey Swann, Pietro De Maria, Enrico Stellini, Piernarciso Masi. In 2005, in the Conservatory of Turin, she obtains her Master’s Degree in piano playing; in 2007 she ends the first cycle of Conservatory studies in composition. She has an intense concert activity, playing as a soloist in important Italian theaters such as: Piccolo Regio (Turin), Teatro Alfieri (Turin), Teatro Gobetti (Turin), Theatre La Filature (Mulhouse), Teatro Filarmonico (Verona), Palazzo Labia (Venice), Hermitage (Saint Petersburg), Auditorium dell’Università della Tuscia (Rome), Auditorium del Politecnico (Turin), Fondazione William Walton (Naples), Theater of Bellinzona, Bibliotheque Polonaise (Paris), Auditorium Gaber (Milan), and working with musicians such as Luca Pfaff, Piero Bellugi. She has performed in Italy, France, Russia, Switzerland, and Romania. She has recently participated to the radio show “The Pianist” for Radio Classica – Milan. In 2011 she has won the Competition “Daniele Ridolfi”, in 2013 she wins the competition “Note sul Mare” in Ischia, in 2014 she wins the competition “Festival of Bellagio and of the lake Como”. Also in 2014, she releases a cd entirely dedicated to F. Chopin (for Sheva Collections) and a cd with all the compositios by Teresa Milanollo (for Egea). In 2016, she releases a cd dedicated to the Sonatas for cello and piano by L. van Beethoven with cellist Stefano Cerrato (for Sheva collections). Toghether with her concert activity, she works as accompanist: from 2010 to today, she has worked in Academy Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
